Delete your account

Last updated 6 September 2026

The short version. Open Profile → Delete account in the Tijaorii app and confirm. Your account and everything on this phone are removed straight away. If you can no longer open the app, email hello@tijaorii.com and we will do it for you.

This page describes account deletion for Tijaorii, the Android and iOS app published by Geeks of Kolachi.

1. Deleting it yourself, in the app

  1. Open Tijaorii and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm when asked. This cannot be undone.

The app asks the server to delete the account first. If that fails — because you are offline, for instance — nothing on your phone is touched, so a failed attempt never leaves you with a wiped device and a live account.

2. Deleting it by email

If you have uninstalled the app, lost the device, or cannot sign in, email hello@tijaorii.com from the address on the account, or tell us the phone number it uses. We will confirm and delete it. We aim to complete requests within seven days.

3. What is removed

Deleting your account removes, immediately:

4. What is kept, and for how long

We keep nothing else. Tijaorii carries no advertising, no analytics profile and no third-party trackers, so there is no other copy of your activity anywhere.

5. Ledgers you shared with other people

If you shared a ledger, the entries you recorded on it stay on that ledger. They are the household's record of money that was actually spent, and removing them would leave the other members with books that no longer add up. Your name stops being shown against them.

Entries on a ledger only you could see are removed with the account.

6. Deleting your entries without deleting your account

You do not have to close your account to clear your data. In the app, Profile → Delete all entries removes every transaction from the ledger you are looking at and keeps the account, so you can carry on with a clean slate.
